Reflexology
Reflexology is the foundation that highlighted sensory exploration as a tool for enhancing health long before our time. This ancient practice, dating back to 2000 B.C., emphasized the importance of specific pressure points on the feet and their holistic connection to the entire body, opening new possibilities for improving well-being through structured foot massage. Reflexology helped us better understand the impact of sensory sensations on our feet, paving the way for barefooting—the practice of ditching shoes to experience the most natural sensations of nature’s surfaces. It also inspired ORTOTO sensory play mats, a product that replicates these sensations and provides the same benefits whenever we choose. A product that complements our fast-paced lifestyles and allows us to enjoy nature’s harmony freely and comfortably.

Our story
It all started with the vision of creating the world’s best sensory massage puzzle mat—a design meant to replicate an entire path of natural surfaces. It had to meet the demands of modern life: convenient to use, aesthetically pleasing, and crafted to the highest standards of quality.
ORTOTO brand was established. With the vision of becoming the unique creators of nature-inspired surfaces for indoor spaces.
Extensive studies were conducted to refine and optimize product usability, with insights from reflexology and physiotherapy experts.
The first prototypes of ORTOTO were realized, and every imperfection was carefully improved. They were presented at the prestigious Spielwarenmesse 2023, the largest children’s goods exhibition.
ORTOTO has established its own production facility right here in Latvia, in the European Union, where our products are carefully manufactured.
ORTOTO gained recognition, also in the competitive market of the USA.
ORTOTO expands globally, officially represented in over 10 countries.
ORTOTO transitioned to a B2C business model and launched a sustainability program focused on recycling and eco-friendly packaging.
